The library building, its collections, and selected research computers are open to the general public. During overnight hours, a UWM ID is required for entrance. See the hours page for more information.
A UWM ID is required to use most of the computers, and to check out materials. Osher Lifelong Learning members, Milwaukee area school teachers, University of Wisconsin-affiliated individuals, and MPS High School Honors and Hartford Avenue Students may also check out books.
